Social Return On Investment

Social return on investment refers to whatever financial savings society makes from your investment.

If we help someone find a home and a job, they won’t need to claim benefits, plus they’ll start paying taxes. Or if we engage and educate someone and improve their mental health, we’ll make it less likely they’ll commit crime, end up in jail, or addicted to drink and drugs – all of which come with a hefty price tag to society.

Last year our overall SROI was

£2.46

So in addition to helping individual homeless people, for every £1 investors donated we saved society £2.46.

We will measure in detail each year how effective we are as an organisation and, if you become a Crisis Investor, report this back to you.
