Crisis Skylight Oxford

The Old Fire Station in Oxford is home to Crisis Skylight Oxford and offers practical and creative workshops including art and drama, vocational workshops such as bike maintenance and carpentry, accredited qualifications in literacy, numeracy, IT and ESOL, and tailored employment programmes.

There is a range of arts spaces including an art gallery and retail space, a fully refurbished auditorium, dance studio and creative studios for artists to rent. These new arts facilities are available for a wide range of arts-based professional development opportunities, and for the community to use for performance and visual arts events, regular classes and training.

Like London and Newcastle, there is also a Crisis Skylight café offering breakfast, lunch, baked goods, and catering.

From 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2015 thanks to our Crisis Investors Crisis Skylight Oxford welcomed 781 homeless people; 566 participated in activities, 44 members improved their housing situation, while 79 members were assisted into work and 66 members began voluntary positions to help learn crucial job skills.
